About Medics For Travel
Medics-for-Travel is a service for travelers who require medically trained travel assistance due to age or illness. This can be a certified nurse or a doctor of any medical field of specialization.
Medics-for-Travel’s medically trained travel companions are multilingual local specialists who, in addition to providing any necessary first aid or treatment during the trip, are also familiar with all local conditions in order to organize rapid and effective care in an emergency and to ensure safe communication with the medical staff and the hospital.
A certified nurse or a doctor in a medical specialty can accompany you on a wide range of trips, from a few hours’ outing to long-distance and extended travel, group events and school trips.
In addition, our staff can reliably continue necessary treatments and medications while traveling and in consultation with the family doctor.

Geriatric Nurse from Japan, who completed her specialization in 2008 at Tokyo Metropolitan University, is dedicated to providing expert care for the elderly

Registered Nurse, who graduated in 2012 from the University of Frankfurt, specializes in the study and care of older adults.

Currently specializes in home-visit nursing care and respiratory therapy.

What services does Medics for Travel offer?
At Medics-for-Travel we offer experienced registered nurses and doctors to accompany travelers, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the journey.
Our team is dedicated to provide personalized healthcare support, so you can travel with peace of mind.
How do I schedule an appointment?
How looks a full process look like for foreign travelers?
Trip & Traveler Registration: Travel Agency or directly at Medics-For-Travel + Travel Details Assessment of the medical needs of the Traveler and clarification with the traveler's GP if necessary. In such a case the GP will receive a link to a secured space where he can upload necessary medical information of the traveler. Only the GP, the medicall staff of Medics-For-Travel and the traveler will have access to that space. Reservation of capacities (staff) on the corresponding dates and times Traveler arrives in Japan Staff (nurse, doctor) meets / joins traveler and assists, accompanies the traveller to necessary appointments with a local doctor, or helps with taking medicine. In cases of emergency the medical staff will always support, assist and translate at the hospital.
Process for School Trips (Japan):
School requests the accompanying nurse, reservation of capacities (staff) on the corresponding dates and times. At the time of the excursion the nurse will join and take care of the school kids (minor injuries, emergency cases)
Accompanying elderly people or people with special medical conditions (Japan):
Older people or people with special medical conditions who feel unsafe to leave their house can book our medical staff to accompany them on day trips and longer excursions. Just call us and make an appointment. We will be ready for your trip.
Is your service available internationally?
Our service is for now offerend in Japan. Other main travel destinations will follow soon. Please let us know if you are interested in our services in a specific country.
Are Medics-For-Travel professionals properly registered and trained?
Of course: in addition to national certifications, our employees have extensive professional experience. We also attach great importance to social skills and a friendly and relaxed personality in our team members.
What languages do the nurses and doctors speak?
Basically the national language as their mother tongue, plus at least fluent English including medical terminology. Please contact us for a complete list of the languages spoken by our team.

A nurse will visit to help carry out your GP's instructions, such as taking medication and performing check-ups. For doctor consultations in Japan, the nurse can accompany you, provide translation, and clarify guidance. They also assist in obtaining necessary medications from the pharmacy.
